MAUDERER ALUTECHNIK EXPANDS CORE BUSINESS AND HANDS OVER AVIATION DIVISION TO ZEPPELIN

It is with mixed feelings that the aluminium specialist from Lindenberg says goodbye to its aviation division after 15 years.

"We are pleased that we have found an expert and strong successor in Zeppelin Systems GmbH (Zeppelin), who will continue the development work of recent years at a high level," says Managing Director Frank Mauderer. "This transfer allows us to consistently focus on our core business: the development and production of high-quality access and loading technology, a field which still holds great potential.” MAUDERER Alutechnik had already reduced its portfolio in recent years and withdrawn from rail vehicle construction, for example. With the transfer of the High Tech Welding Aviation division to Zeppelin, this path is now being consistently pursued, to the mutual benefit of both parties: Zeppelin is now not only expanding its portfolio in the aerospace industry but also in series production. And MAUDERER can bundle its welding, engineering and manufacturing expertise and focus on those segments with a particularly good market response: In addition to high-quality and durable ladders, roof fall protection systems and loading ramps for the specialist trade, these include lightweight, modular container staircase systems and scaffolding for indoor and outdoor use. At the same time, MAUDERER is also a problem-solver for well-known international construction machine manufacturers – because the bigger the construction machine, the more important safe ascent and descent.
